I grew up on a street called Fenley Road. It was a small street tucked away in an average suburb, just a quarter-mile walk to my elementary school. Years later, I would drive through it, only to find it so small, so quiet, so dull. But to my child-self, Fenley Road was a massive boulevard, with every home hiding a secret that needed exploring. Each house had kids our age. In the summertime, my brother, sister, and I would leave the house in the morning, and play with our neighbors until the evening. Maybe it was the norm in the mid-90’s, but I don’t see that community now, and I only hear about it from people a generation older than me. Eventually, like most families there, my family moved away. But I tried to take that street with me.

I fell in love with sports on Fenley Road. We played sports every day. We watched sports every summer night, the Cleveland Indians were in the middle of winning five straight division titles. My older brother, Chris, became just as obsessed with the Tribe, the Cavs, the Browns. We were hooked, and are still hooked to this day. Talking with my brother means talking sports, it’s part of who we are and where we came from. It’s how the two of us catch up with each other. It’s how we argue. To us, sports is family, community, and passion all in one.

We don’t want to get together and tell you our opinions are anything unique or outlandish. We just want to take you back to Fenley Road, where our love of sports was innocently born. Enjoy.

Bob — Producer

Born and raised in Cleveland, Bob considers cheering for Cleveland sports his birthright. He enjoys the freedom of not having strong allegiances to any particular college team, though he has recently taken a liking to the Georgia Bulldogs.

Bob’s first love was music. He has played the French horn and drum set for over 15 years. He graduated from Miami University where he studied music composition and, more importantly, music production. While at Miami he discovered an interest in non-musical recordings, particularly phonography and spoken-word recordings.

He has always been interested in creating and running a podcast. Naturally, he thought his older brother would be a perfect co-host for a sports podcast. Bob produces and edits all of the podcasts created on Fenley Road Sports.
